Game : Nintendo N64 Emulator

I'm back after break for a long time. Happy new year...sorry i'm late to say that...Right now i find a great emulator again...it is called "project64". This emulator works for Nintendo 64 ROM. Thanks to the creators of this emulator. When I play this game I feel that I much more younger for 13 years old..:)). The Nintendo 64 was originally code-named Project Reality and was to be called the Ultra 64. The release date, June 23 1996 in Japan. It was then released in USA on 26 September in the same year. Other countries followed soon after.

This 64-bit console used cartridges rather than CDs, which were being used in competitors 32-bit consoles. The main competitor of the Nintendo 64 was Sony's Playstation. The Nintendo 64 had many advantages over the other consoles, thanks to Silicon Graphics. There is a huge difference in loading times between a CD and a cartridge. This was one benefit, but then cartridges cannot give the same "CD-quality" sound.

To play Nintendo 64 on your computer, first you must download the emulator I use Project64 which is windows application.Then don't forget download the Nintendo 64 ROM from ROMHUSTLER or ROMNATION.Ok so these are the software you must have :

• Project64. You can download from www.pj64-emu.com or ou can download from : Project641.6.rar (public release). Or you can download another Nintendo 64 emulator.
• 7z extractor or unziper. You must have this for extracting the Nintendo 64 ROM. As I know, the ROM which is provided by several downloadable ROM host is in a 7z format. You can use WinRAR in a full version or you can use Alzip...you can download it from ALZIP. So after you download the ROMs you must extract the file inside the 7z file. Because Project64 only can read a ROM in N64 file format.

The Nintendo 64 is using 3D graphics so your computer must have 3D graphic card....I think right now is a very usual and more common about this technology. So I believe almost all computers have this...:))

NTLDR is Missing ....??????

This is my another experience with notebook HP. This time i had chance to installing XP in HP 520. Based on my experience installing XP on HP Presario V3660, i had difficulties also. The difficulties are related with SATA facility which had embedded in that laptop.
In HP 520, there's option in BIOS to disable using SATA, so i didn't had to install XP using customized CD XP that embedded with SATA driver that i have told in my past post. But, suddenly after i finished installing XP without driver SATA ('coz i have disable SATA function also) , the notebook, HP 520, can not boot the operating system.

At first, i was affraid that maybe the hardisk has badsector, so NLTDR couldn't be read and the operating system can't launch. But, after i cool-down my mind, i tried to install using my customized CD XP that i have created before . And then you can guest the result :D, YES, the XP operating systems could launch normally, and i could continue my XP installation in windows display mode.
So, if you find the problem like i had, don't in a rush judge that the notebook hardware are error, like usually happen when error message "NLTDR is missing....". Yes, after i googling, there are several problem that caused error message "NLTDR is missing...", one of that problem is virus attack that cause NLTDR and boot.ini is missing. So for the new notebook like HP 520 that i want to installed, the possibility in get virus attack is nothing.
YES, the solution for this "NLTDR is missing ..." problem is SATA function, that can't be disabled as it inform on BIOS. So, you still have to install XP with customized CD that has been embedded with SATA driver.

Installing XP on Compaq Presario V3660 with SATA

Finally, i installed win XP on my notebook successfully, after three days i searched the compatible driver for its SATA hardisk.
At first time i installed XP on V3660, i got the same problem like everyone did, myhardisk cannot be detected in installation progress. The main problem is no driver SATAattached in win XP package installation.

Although i have the CD driver from the distributor where i bought it, but unfortunately it not compatible anymore, because the drivers that they'd give is for V3000 series which some driver are too old to new generation of Compaq V3000 series.
Cek this out for more detail (eventhough is not the same series, but it works ;> , i think because the chipset for these series are same) :

And then, if you don't want install driver by floppy disk after you press F6 in installation process. You can make your own winXP CD package which attached with SATA driver. You can use Nlite ( http://www.nliteos.com/download.html ).
After installation Nlite on your PC done, don't forget to copy all content from your old winXP CD to specified folder. So you can attach in first process using NLite, like this picture below :

And then, you just focus on Integrate Driver and Create Bootable ISO like this image below :

The next step is insert for the appropriate drivers that you've download from previous URL. Then, make the image CD and burn it, at the end you have your own customize winXP CD.

How to download Journals, Papers, Proceedings etc. by using Google

I have some tricks to download Journals, papers, proceedings etc. directly from Google. I did this to fullfill my final task and thesis... I have to find literatures and references for my final task and thesis. Actually this is rather tricky because I must use a try and error method to find the correct keyword, but when I have the correct keyword search I will on the top of the hill...I can download a lot of Journals!!


First I must decide what my keyword search represent the title of journal that I want is. I must type "journals" and then followed with the keyword that I want and then followed with filetype:pdf to delcare that I want to search file in a pdf format (a lot of journals publish with this file format, but I may change it into another document file format such as RTF, DOC, etc.). So the general text that I must type in the search text box is :

journals (the keywords) filetype:pdf .

Here for the example I want to find journals about "corrosion". So at the GOOGLE keyword text box I just type : journals corrosion filetype:pdf.

Second, this is the most tricky step because I must check each link results wheter it is the link's that I want or Not. But there are a unique indications of link that show wheter it is journal and downloadable. The indications are :
(1) There is a [PDF] sign at the beginning of link result, indicate that the link is a PDF file.... of course it is a document and generally journal is publish in the web by using PDF file format.
(2) At the link address I can see the word "JOURNALS" with BOLD format which indicate that the web has a directory that contain journal files.
(3) At the end of link address showing that is link for certain file. Because I search for PDF so the end of link must be (files).PDF. See the picture bellow (click to enlarge) : Third, copy the link address that I have determine at the second step. But do not copy all address link words.....just leave the several last word which indicate the file name....just see the picture below (click to enlarge) :But do not include the "http://www/" !!!!

After that open GOOGLE again and on the text search box just type :

(keywords) site:(paste on)

Keywords is my keyword search, site: is a google syntax to search only in the certain website which is specified, paste on : just paste the link address which I copied before. For example just like I mentioned before, I looking for Journal about corrosion so my keyword search is "Corrosion". See the picture below (click to enlarge): And for detail you may see the EXAMPLE .
As You can see from the example and the picture below(click to enlarge), the search results are showing the Journals in PDF file which is ready to download just right click and then click save as or you can click and open it but you mus instal acrobat reader an plug ins so your web browser can view PDF file. The keyword can be modified to another word for search another journals topics as you want to.

(1) some of links is not downloadable for some reasons. Perhaps the journal need payment or it is not free to download. For example elsevier, springerlink, sciencedirect ..... Yeah, I can say that money can talk but science or knowledge can make money

Game : Neogeo emulator.....Fighter Mania !!!!!

Thank God in this "internet era" I can play a lot of games especially fighting game...I can play my favorite fighting game e.g King of Fighter, Art of Fighting, and samurai shodown (the most of my favorite).

When I was a boy I have to bought an expensive machine game eg. SNES, NES, SEGA, NEOGEO, etc....but today I can play all of them just only using cheap PC...I just download an emulator game and rom files to play it. Just thanks to great people out there.

First you must download the emulator...I think the best Neogeo emulator is NeoRageX version 5.0.... You may download it from : http://www.ziddu.com/download/5627919/neogeoemulatorv5.zip.html it is in ZIP file so UNZIP the file. Congratulation now you already have NEOGEO "console" in your computer.

After that you must find a "cartridge" game >:) ....but don't worry...you don't need to buy it....I mean here, the emulator doesn't need a cartridge or CD games or perhaps Coins to play ....You will go bunkrupts and exhausting your money..:)) All you need is just download ROM files from : http://romhustler.net/roms/neogeo You may find the ROM list at the bottom web page.

This website is awesome and I would like to thank to the web owners for the generous. The ROM file is in the ZIP file, but that is the format file should stay. Dont extract the ZIP files ROM!!! Just copy it to the ROMS folder of the NeoRAGEX folder that you have extract before !! After that just run the NeoRAGEx 5.0 executable file. Than you will see : Than click Import button to import the ROM file that you have copy. Wait till status is indicate that the NeoRAGEx has find a game/s....and than just scroll the game list find the game you have copy. The list can be clicked indicate that the game is already loaded and ready to play. To play just select the game and click launch button.....Now enjoy the NeoGeo miracle.....!!!

I have some tips for playing the game....first just read the readme file in the neoragex directory to understand the button function :

Another important things that you must aware is the default game settings is not a free play so you can not play the game. So to free play you must set the game MACHINE SETTINGS. In the machine settings menu you must set the FREE PLAY to be ON!!!....Another settings that you should know is the game can be set as an ARCADE or CONSOLE system. In ARCADE system the apperance will see as an arcade game and the difficulty level is set at 4, and you can not set the game options but your credits is unlimited so you can play the game again without seeing the GAME OVER condition....And in the CONSOLE system you may find the options menu and you can set the difficulty level and another game settings, but the your credits is limited just only 4 credits play....so if you run out your credit so must face the GAME OVER condition....But It can be handle by using SAFE State menu...just click the F11 button to safe the state so if you beated by computer/MVS you you can repeat n try again by clicking the F12 button to load the last state that you safe....So You don't need to restart and seeing GAME OVER frame...;))

Search for non html files & Download them directly

Google searh has an ability to track non-html files and you can download directly from google search result page without visiting the search link result such as :

• Pdf files
• microsoft office files (xls,doc,ppt etc.)
• post script
• corel wordperfect
• lotus 123
• etc

There are about 12 kind of files...and they are office files. You can download directly
the file without visiting its website, but not all link can be download directly. Sometime they need a subscription and some of them are protected. But it is a good way to fasting search process and get a specific file that we want with better keyword approach.

On search text box just type <keyword search> filetype:<file extension>

• keyword search: you may type a word or phrase



• file extension : pdf (for acrobat file), doc (for msword file), xls (for msexcel file), ppt (for power point) etc (office file and document)

i.e : coffee cake filetype:pdf

"coffee cake" --> keyword search

"pdf" --> file type that we want....and in this case I want acrobat reader or pdf file

After that click SEARCH button or enter on your keyboard. The search result will appear just like figure bellow. Usually the type of search result is display on the first phrase on the link of search result.

Then you can directly safe the file as the search link result appear. Just right clicking the search link result that you want to safe. After that click "Save target as".

The safe dialog window will appear. As you can see if the file is unprotected or need subscription to download it, the file is automatically save as non-html file (pdf, doc , etc) as the file type you declare on the search text box.

Then click "save".....and the download progress windows will appear just wait til finish

If you instal download acceleration software (IDM, IDA, FlashGet etc.), the step is similar byright clicking and choose download with "......."

Trouble : Ninja Pendisk....When inserting Card Reader

The trouble came up when I'm inserting my USB multi card reader. This Window always appear & it will stuck. It is very annoying and the reading process of my card reader is stoped and error.
This happened because Ninjapendisk is trying to read USB multi card reader. USB multi card reader is usually read as multiple drive because it can read many kind of card (MMC, Micro SD, SD..etc.)..


And it become error when there is no card on the card slots. Ninjapendisk is recognize as USB drive but cannot find any storage/disk (card) and it can make an error window.
So to avoid this I must close Ninjapendisk by right click on Ninjapendisk Windows systemtray and click "Exit"before I'm inserting USB Ninjapendisk. But unforunatelly my computer will not protected from autorun virus..:((.....so I must must make sure that my card doesn't contain this virus. I hope Ninjapendisk maker know this BUG.....

Flash USB Disk Virus Protection Using : NINJA PENDISK!

Recently my computer & my UMPC has infected by viruses. I'm using windows XP sp2. I can not view my hidden files. The "Folder Options" still can be viewed, but the "view files" setting has set to "Do not show hidden files and folders". When I set it into "Show hidden files and folders" and click OK/Apply....it doesn't work. It seems like my registery setting has modified by a virus. And

I remember that day my friend has inserted a flash disk to copy some files. And it infected by a virus.I will tell you this virus threat & behaviour in my another post because in this post I just want to tell you about preventing virus infect from flash / USB disk or external hardisk & memory. Usually this virus spread by infect the flash / USB disk and planting "a virus egg" which automatically breed the virus when flash /USB disk inserted in a computer PC or Notebook.

"Virus Egg" consist of :

• Autorun.inf (this file is command for autoplay windows to execute any file and the file can be a Virus Script or executable files)
• VBS visual basic script which can be a virus script
• exe file which can be an executable virus e.g : ctfmon.exe

Those files usually set into hidden files.

To prevent this kind of Virus I'm using NINJA PENDISK!. This software is a freeware, small, but usefull. I found it at the internet at http://nunobrito.eu/ninja/ . Ninja pendisk can protect the autorun virus by detecting and deleting "virus egg". It can be laod at start up so it run in a windows system tray. So when you insert a USB / flash disk it will work immediatelly by detecting a suspicious autorun and autoplay behaviour.

This software only work for detecting autorun virus (virus egg) but not for trojan, macro, polymorphic, boot virus, etc. So you must have any powerfull virus protection. But you know even I'm using a powerfull anti-virus I must double-protect my system because there are alot of ways for a Virus Maker to make confuse and desperate someone elses and he/she will laugh above misery..:))

Quantel T8 UMPC Notebook

Here I want to share about my UMPC Quantel T8 series which I bought it for about 3 months ago. I decided to buy this stuff is because its cost and its features can fulfil my study and work. It is cheaper than notebook, I can use it to perform my presentation, I can connect to the internet by using Wifi, I can read or write my document files such as word and ebook in pdf file. So after my searching and wandering finally I interested with Quantel T8.
